What is the right combi-heating system for your vehicle conversion?

Whether you’re a small converter or an independent hobbyist working on updating your own recreational vehicle for habitation, there are lots of important decisions you’ll need to make along the way.

One of the biggest is what type of heating system to use. 

The combi-boilers we supply at Truma come in two main types: gas/electric and diesel/electric. The right choice for you will depend on factors such as any existing appliances and fuel supply you might have on board.

If you already have a gas supply available, for example, you might find a gas boiler is the best option, since you can connect it directly to your existing pipework.

However, if you’re embarking on a conversion from scratch and you need to save space wherever possible, diesel could be the way to go. This removes the need to have a gas bottle on board and comes with the convenience of being able to refill your diesel tank at any fuel station.
